Embracing the Journey

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

Colossians 2:6-7

My life has taken me on some very interesting paths.  Some of them more desirable than others.   I never imagined that one of these paths would be leading me to starting a Catholic blog.  I am certain that my past English teachers would be cringing if they knew who was writing this!  Nevertheless, I feel that this is where God is directing me right now.  Even if this doesn’t become a huge success or it fails miserably, I know that it will lead me to Christ and after all, that is our ultimate goal in this life.

So, what can you expect from this blog?  I am going to go out on a limb and say, a lot of mistakes!  But I sincerely hope that you will hang in there with me.  As you will find out, I am no where near perfect and I do a LOT of stupid things.  However, I am on a mission to learn more about my faith and to grow closer to God every day of the life that I have been given.  I will share with you my joys, heartaches and my passions.  I will walk with you on whatever road you are following to offer my full support and above all, my acceptance.

I pray that you will find my story inspiring and that you will share yours with me.  We are all in this together.  We are all sinners – loved sinners who are destined to be great saints.  Let’s make our journey a little less lonely as we share with one another.  I look forward to knowing you as we make our Catholic faith a priority and an anomaly in today’s world; proudly sharing it with all to hear.
